Nurturing Life, Work and the Season Ahead

This November I've drawn the Queen of Pentacles as my guiding card, and I couldn't have picked a more perfect companion for this time of year.
She's the archetypal Earth Mother: practical, grounded, nurturing and endlessly resourceful. She's the one who can rustle up a hearty meal from an almost empty fridge, keep the household running and manage to make it look effortless. She's warm, capable and generous but she also knows the value of good food, good rest and surrounding herself with things that are beautiful or joyful.
Finding her Energy in Everyday Life.
I can feel her influence in both my personal and business life. Even though mu children are older now and mostly away at university, our home still pulls them back when they need a home cooked meal, a decent shower or simply to feel seen and cared for.
While the nurturing role comes naturally, the Queen of Pentacles also reminds me that taking care of others begins with taking care of ourselves. She's definitely not a martyr. She understands that to create comfort and stability for those around her she must look after her own body, mind and spirit.
Slowing Down and Grounding In.
For me, that looks like being more intentional this month. Slowing down enough to notice the small luxuries like a perfectly brewed cup of tea (with a biscuit please), Autumn stews or wrapping up in snuggly jumpers to watch the next episode of Slow Horses.
She's also nudging me to be practical, to get organised, plan ahead and create calm through structure. That's why I've been tackling my Christmas shopping early this year. My Christmas All Wrapped Up planner is already working it's magic. Lists are written. Gifts ticked off. Budget tracked.
Instead of feeling rushed and reactive, I'm calm, centred and even enjoying the process. Very Queen of Pentacles.
What Do You Need, and What Will Truly Meet Those Needs?
So, this month, I'm inviting you to do the same. Take a moment to ask yourself:
What do you need right now - in your home, your business, your bod
And, perhaps most importantly, what will meet those needs and wants in a practical and accessible way?
Don't just think about it. Take small, real world actions. Light the candle. Write the list. Book the session.
Looking Ahead to the New Year
If you'd like some gentle structure for looking ahead, my Year Ahead Tarot Spread sessions are now open for bookings. They're perfect for business owners who want to set intentions and explore themes that will support them through the coming year with compassion, intuition and a touch of magic.
Because that's what the Queen of Pentacles teaches us, abundance isn't about having everything. It's about tending what we have with care, love and purpose.
